Methodology

Values less than 1 700 m3 per person per year indicate water shortage. Based on the LPJmL vegetation and water balance model using the ensemble mean from 21 General Circulation Models (GCMs) that took part in the 4th IPCC Assessment (Randall et al., 2007).
