Term

National reference centres (NRCs) are not mentioned in the regulation but have been defined subsequently as a special set of main component elements. National reference centres are also therefore nationally funded institutions/organisations which may be nominated by member countries to play a role in technical coordination within their countries and cooperate with the European topic centre established to cover various topics.
