See all EU institutions and bodiesThe European Environment Agency (EEA) invites nominations for Seconded National Experts (SNEs) to contribute to its work in the 12 areas, as outlined in Annex 1.
SNEs contribute directly to the implementation of the EEA-Eionet Strategy 2021-2030 and the Agency's annual work programmes. They bring valuable expertise from national administrations and strengthen cooperation between the EEA and its member and cooperating countries.
Secondment conditions
Location: EEA headquarters in Copenhangen
Employment: SNEs remain employed by their national administration. No employment relationship is established with the EEA.

Who can apply
The call is open exclusively to public administrations in EEA member countries. Interested individuals cannot apply directly.
How to apply
Applications from interested candidates must be submitted and endorsed through the EEA Management Board members with the submission of a CV in Europass format and a motivational letter.
Each EEA Management Board member may put forward candidates aligned with one or more of the 12 profiles listed in Annex 1.
Deadline for applications to be submitted by EEA Management Board members is 30 April 2025.
